Aloud is built so that your words never leave your phone. This page explains, in plain language, what stays on your device, what does not, and why.
The short version: your manifestation, your voice, your answers, and your streak live only on your device. The only data that leaves your phone is what is strictly required to process your subscription.
Aloud ("the app") is operated by Mykola Kildau, an independent developer ("we"). You can reach us at hello@aloudalarm.app.
Everything you create or answer in Aloud is stored locally on your device and nowhere else. That includes:
Aloud has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server that stores your content. We cannot read your manifestation. Nobody can, except you.
When your alarm rings and you speak your sentence, Aloud uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to check your words. This processing happens entirely on your phone. Your voice is never recorded, never stored, and never transmitted to us or to anyone else. The transcription exists only for the moment it takes to match your words, and is then discarded.
Aloud requests microphone and speech recognition permissions solely for this purpose. If you choose Type mode instead, the microphone is not used at all.
Aloud offers an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is handled by Apple through your App Store account; we never see your name, email address, or payment details.
To manage subscriptions we use RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure service. RevenueCat receives a limited set of technical data: an anonymous app-generated identifier, your purchase and transaction history for Aloud, and basic device information such as device model, locale, and app version. This data is used only to verify and manage your subscription. It is not linked to your identity and is never combined with anything you say, type, or answer in the app. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Aloud contains no advertising and no third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell data, because we do not have data to sell. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. There is no copy anywhere for us to erase. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their retention policies; you can request deletion of RevenueCat data by contacting us and referencing your purchase.
Aloud is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal content in the first place, this applies by design.
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or another region with data protection laws, you have rights of access, correction, and deletion over your personal data. Because we hold no personal data on any server, most of these rights are satisfied automatically: your data is under your direct control, on your device. For the limited subscription data described in section 4, contact us and we will help you exercise your rights with our processors.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change ever means data would leave your device beyond what is described here, we will say so plainly inside the app before it happens.
